The vacation edit is here!

My Mexicoma is over, but my vacation itch isn’t quite scratched yet. If I ever have spare change, I love heading away for a quick weekend to Miami or a different two-hour jet-set away! From the plane ride to the happiest of hours, check out my tips and favourites.

Active wear.

Although I gram all my going-out-outfits, a lot of the time I’m sporting athleisure or a bikini. You want to be comfortable and ready for any adventure. The day we headed out for an excursion, I sported Under Armour shorts, my Mara Hoffman reversible two-piece, a thin, black Free People ribbed tank top and an old school cream bandana from my music festival days. I was so happy I wore my $2 reflector aviators and that bandana because the Polaris ride was muddy AND dusty.

The Bathing Suit

Yep, this is one of my favorite parts! I love Mara Hoffman, Sabo Skirt Swim, Triangl, Beach Riot and LSpace swimwear. I make sure to stock up on the MH ones during her annual sample sale (usually in June!). Don't forget sunblock or a hat for your face and chest- I have 99 problems and they are ALL freckles!

The Jetset

I’d like to say I’m a pro at this by now, but I always get a little jittery before a flight, and end up throwing things into my suitcases like a mad woman. On any plane, I am usually super cold, so I opt for long pants (usually leggings- sorry not sorry) and sneakers (I'm obsessing over these sneaks ATM), even if I’m going someplace warm. It’s all about layering, I usually layer with a basic sports bra, ribbed tank top, FP henley (of somesort) and a zip up (I carried around my white, cropped Lululemon half-zip).

Night On the Town - Three words. More is more.

Here are the details of my outfits from the vacay. I must say, I try to venture out of my usual black, white and neutral attire while out of the country because the prints go better with the scenery. Check out my maxi dress blog for tips on how to layer them in the cold weather.
