MUCH ADO ABOUT FALLING IN LOVE WITH FALL TRENDS

MUCH ADO ABOUT FALLING IN LOVE WITH FALL TRENDS

“Something wicked this way comes…” Shakespeare said it, and I cannot believe summer is almost over? Back during FW17, we saw very powerful reds and furs for days. Now that the fall is approaching, we will have to get to it! No more pastels, stripes and varied floral prints.

Just when you thought the peace, love and happiness trend was coming to an end, there are more retro styles than ever! There are furry brimmed hats and neutral plaids that are striking enough to make you question people are just dressing up early for Halloween! I know, SCARY! We thought we only had to worry about the colder weather approaching, but it seems we have bigger problems this season.

No, we are going to need to bring out the glitter. Yes, the gliteratti is approaching and Saint Laurent’s boots are to die for. I do love the Victorian Collar that is approaching, and Kenzo is keeping it fresh as a turtleneck to layer with. It is a crisp collar that can be dressed up or down. I’d pull together a black mesh Victorian collar, those glitter booties and a pair of shorts while the weather is still comfortable! When the leaves start to fall and the air becomes crisper, break out a vest and long skirt to accompany this look!

One last way to start dressing more weather appropriately is to try a mid-length skirt. This is a trend that I think is super flattering and could be a full ballet skirt or tight body-con. Fouetté from a business meeting to a DIY autumnal head crown-making class with the girls.
