Prep Time: Approximately 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20- 30 minutes

Serving Size: 4 stuffed bell peppers

Ingredient List:

1 lb. Ground beef (or ground turkey if you prefer)

1 small diced yellow onion

4 Large Bell Peppers

1 Large tomato diced

1 cup mild cheddar cheese

2 Tsp. Salt

1 Tsp. Pepper

1 Tsp. Garlic Powder

1 Tsp. Paprika

Utensils:

1 Large saucepan

1 Large frying pan

Measuring spoons and cups

Cutting board and knife

Preparation:

1)Preheat oven to 350ºF.

2)Peel and chop onion. Heat medium saucepan on medium heat. Add onion and ground beef. Add salt, pepper, granulated garlic, and paprika. Cook 5 minutes.

3)While meat cooks, cut the tops off the peppers and remove the seeds.

4)Open and drain tomatoes, then add to the pan and reduce heat to low. Cook meat another 5 minutes or until it is completely cooked throughout.

5)Place peppers in a large saucepan, cover with water, and heat on high for 7-8 minutes to soften.

6)Drain the pot and rinse peppers with cool water to stop them from cooking any more.

7)Stuff each pepper with the ground meat mix, then place them on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven until the sides of the peppers begin to wilt.

8)Remove peppers from oven, top with cheddar cheese, and return to oven for another 5 minutes to finish. Serve and enjoy!
