Rihanna has just been announced as PUMA’s new creative director along side CEO, Bjorn Gulden. This new announcement has me more excited for the New Year than usual. I have always followed Rihanna’s style from everyday wear to glitzy, daring looks at award shows. Although Rihanna hasn’t been creating much new music, I am sure her creativity will come through for PUMA 2015. With her strength in and outside the spotlight of cameras as well as her audience will make for a success for the german- sports wear company. She will work next to Solange Knowles, the artistic creative director, which will make for an even better 2015.
Speaking of wrapping up this year, there have been so many new creative directors and artistic figures for timeless companies. I have mentioned in previous posts that Nicholas Ghesquière was named creative director for Louis Vuitton, leaving behind Balenciaga. Also, Frida Giannini will be leaving Gucci, this February, as will the CEO, Patrizio di Marco; new replacements will be announced soon.
All the news for the new year has me on the edge of my seat. Not only will people be creating resolutions about working out, but will be able to use Solange and Rihanna’s active wear while doing so!
